MORES Smores please!!

Smores Away!

 It's a tradition in our home to build a fire and make smores every smore often during the winter.  It's the smore thing to do!

It took some coaxing to convince Blakey that she just had to try burnt marshmallow.  She wasn't so thrilled about the concept of us actually putting her marshmallow in the fire. 

She liked it ok, but DEFINITELY prefers regular marshmallows to burnt marshmallows. =) I guess it does take some getting use to.

Jacee-Kay was a terrific helper getting Blakey excited about roasted marshmallows. Jacee-Kay has the tradition down by now. I've been implementing SMORES since she was two.  She LOVES THEM.

There is something very special about having a fireplace at Christmas time.  I am so blessed that we have a fireplace and a chimney. I always wanted a house with a fireplace and chimney. I love that we can all sit around the fire and roast marshmallows, stay cozy and warm, and talk about how Santa is going to fit down the chimney this year! It is so exciting.
