Blakelynne

Blakelynne tried and tried and tried, but blowing this horn was just not gonna happen. Not today. Maybe next year.

This didn't stop her from posing and smiling for the camera though. She has finally grasped the 'cheese' concept. Here is her cheesing.

Attempting to make the party horn make noise.
She improvised with her own 'mmmm....mmmmm', she'd say as hard as she could.

On the other hand, if horns and hair pieces just won't work as good props, at least sunglasses have never failed me.

You can ask Grammy, Blakelynne LOVES glasses/sunglasses.

She will wear them with a smile. =]

My love bug is getting so big. She can now say the following:

da-da- "Daddy"

MaMa- "Mommy"

MMMMMM- Anything yummy she places in her mouth

Uh-Oh- This one applies to anything that hits the ground, whether on purpose or accident.

OGG- "Dog"

aun you- "Thank You"

buhbye- "Bye-Bye"

She can also communicate when she's lost something by shrugging her shoulders and throwing her hands up in the air as if she is saying "I just don't know!"

She is a mess.

Jacee

Today is a Saturday. Therefore there is a Saturday night involved.
I asked Doug today if he thought when Jacee-Kay was 19 if she would still want to spend Saturday nights with me.
He just laughed and said..."She'll be 19, of course not."

Well, that just makes me...well...sad!

;) Everyday, I feel like she gets older and more mature.
Just getting to be my big girl. Today she wanted to go and visit her Mammaw Sharon, and wouldn't you know it: She wanted to stay the night with Mammaw over me.
It's already starting I guess you would say!

Here's her face when I told her we would have to leave pretty soon and that she would need to go and tell Mammaw bye-bye:

Mammaw gave into her and invited her to stay the night of course. =)
It's hard not to give into that face.

Our Rain Dance Worked!

Melasma

As much as I HATE posting a picture of me anywhere without makeup, I thought it would be really fun to track my progress of the different types of skin medicines I will be using over the next few months to clear up my skin disorder I developed while pregnant with my Blakelynne.

It's a skin disorder that I developed in the last couple of months of pregnancy, and while my Blakelynne was worth every bit of it, the once almost flawless skin on my face (the one thing I always liked about myself) definately suffered.

I told myself that if this 'melasma' or 'the mask of pregnancy' as it is commonly known, had not dissappeared on it's own after Blakelynne turned one year old, then I would go see someone about what needed to be done. I am most embarrassed about the darkened area around my lip, it makes me feel like I have this horrible mustache that I just can't get rid of.

I started a new medicine on June 9, 2011...and on July 9, 2011 I will be posting another picture to see how we are on the progress! =]

Let's hope for some great results.

I am hoping for something!
