The Year the Easter Bunny Came Early...

Doug and I wanted to surprise our sweet kiddos with a Peter Cottontail visit overnight. On Friday Morning the girls woke up and to their surprise, he had come to visit early!

Of course this is because The Easter Bunny left Schlitterbahn tickets in their Easter baskets
(along with some other AWESOME swimming gear).
Yes, the Easter Bunny is amazing. ;) I know!

We took our family to Schlitterbahn for the weekend.
A Trip to Moody Gardens, and a visit to the rainforest.
It was necessary!

Not before heading out to hunt Easter Eggs bright and early Friday morning.

Someone told me that I may have raised my children too well.
They never once fought over the Easter Eggs spread out before them.
In fact, diplomatically, would bring the other eggs that they felt the sister would like.
I mean, when I was a kid we FOUGHT, and I mean FOUGHT over Easter Eggs.
Sister or not, you were going down.
Easter Egg hunting was not for the weak.

Now I have two daughters who literally just laughed together as they skipped around the yard in their pajamas and took their time to peak inside each egg, patiently waiting for the other one to go ahead of them.

Doug said he just couldn’t believe it.
He must’ve been in some Easter Egg fights before too. ;)

We decorated probably 36 the night before, but somehow only ended up with about 24.
Between Jacee-Kay trying to Ramona it-“Beezus and Ramona” it that is…(crack the egg on top of her head instead of on the table) and Blakey trying to eat the dye, you only have so many left.
Luckily the Easter Bunny brought plastic eggs with candy and toys, too.
That Easter Bunny.
Smart one.

I know this is a ton of Easter Pictures, but they were all my favorite.
Especially the cute bunny tail ones.
That was my girls special Easter project this year.
Bunny tails we could hunt Easter Eggs in.
Hop inspired, but of course.

 Enjoy.

Don't crack the eggs Blakey!
Let's Dye the Eggs.
Confusing, I know....

Blakey Cracking the Egg on her head like Jacee-Kay.  -yes...

Yes....drinking the dye....I don't know!

Partay! No School tomorrow and Easter Weekend!
What-What!
How Cute are these Easter Bunny Masks that Grammy and Auntie Lou made for us!
Perfect! Thank you Grammy and Auntie Lou!!

They were waaaaaay waaaaaay too excited for me to even brush their hair!
I will probably look back and love every part of this morning though.
Tangled hair and all!

Lovely morning.

Mmmm..What do we have here?

Jacee-Kay just letting her go for it!
My sweet girls.
Doug wanted them to fight it out, but I'm kinda glad they are so sweet to each other! =)

My little chocolate eater.
Gets it from her daddy!
Already trying to get into the Easter Candy!

Happy Easter Everyone!
