Landmarks of my two girls

A few landmarks have happened in the last week or so.

Land Mark Number oNe:
Blakey grows hair.
Blakelynne finally has enough hair for a hair bow. =]
I'm so excited.

Land Mark Number Two:
Blakelynne had her nine month check up.
She will be ten months on March 4.
At every little check up they get a cute little check up sticker with their baby 'stats'.
I've tried to keep up with them all.
To my surprise, Jacee-Kay put
Blakelynne's sticker on her.
Hey, why not?! It is Blakey's sticker I suppose.
So here she is wearing her baby 'stats'.
If you have trouble reading it, it says that she is 19 pounds and 4 ounces. =]
My chunky, monkey, tuna melt!
Land Mark Number 3:
Jacee-Kay's First Softball Practice.
She's been a little weary of softball.
But today at softball practice she was amazing.
We are so proud of her.
She hit the ball better than I've seen any five year old able to do.
She grounded the ground balls, she threw overhanded.
She's a natural!

My new Love:

I'm obsessed.

First, Doug brings home this special treat for me to test out in my morning cup of joe.

Then, an office assistant bought this wonderful delight for the entire office.

Yay.

One Drawback: It makes you wanna eat a cinnabon.

Carrots and Katricia...

Doug and I were telling Jacee-Kay stories last night about our siblings and ourselves. How we had the chicken pox, fell down hard and hit our heads, Aunt Starla falling down at the city pool and losing her two front PERMANENT teeth, Aunt Jenna being in the hospital with pnuemonia, and Aunt Lauren and Uncle Jeff's untimely sicknesses. Just all kinds of stories where you are sick or hurt yourself as a child.

Jacee-Kay then proceeded to explain to me how Katricia, (her made up friend) was in the hospital and the doctor forced her to eat carrots to bring her back to health without realizing that Katricia was allergic to carrots. This story went on for a really long time. Not just a long time. A really, really long time.

I also love that she has named her imaginary friend Katricia. lol. I've never heard this name before. But I have to laugh because all the stories I hear lately are of Katricia. Katricia doesn't eat peas. Katricia was mean to someone at school. Katricia dances really well, mom!

Oh, that Katricia.

Valentine. Be Mine.

We have had a very relaxing Valentine's Day Weekend. Although technically Valentine's Day isn't until Monday, our family has celebrated it today. We made a nice steak dinner and went to T.J. Maxx, very perfect for Jacee-Kay and I.

(Food & Shopping, two of our very favorite things.)
Jacee-Kay celebrated Valentines at school on Friday. She loved putting the cards together with the lolly pops. And how fun was it for her to sign her own name this year and her friends names on their cards. She took the preparation of her Valentine's Day cards very seriously.

On a side note, this morning while getting dressed for our day,
our little Blakelynne discovered a new game. Peak a Boo in the shower.

Usually with mommy.
However, this time Daddy just so happened to have hopped in the shower.
Little Blake couldn't help but go over and rip the curtain back and say ahhhaaaa!!
(pay back for all the times he has poured cold water on me
this past month while I have been in the shower.)

Go Blakey Go!

And I had to add this.

Our Sadee and Jacee.
Sadee protects Jacee-Kay like she is her very own baby.

Eating Snow and Our First Snow

We all did it as children. I think it's a right of passage.

Eating Snow.

Ok.

Ok.

Not the smartest thing anyone has ever done,

but considering it is something one must do,

I am ok with it.

GO, Jacee, GO.

Poor Jace-Kay.

We couldn't find any of her gloves this morning. (how ironic.)

So, she had to wear a pair of socks.

And her poor little tobaggan. Don't worry,

I at least could fix the tobaggan problem.

It has been a great day today.

Snow Day In College Station, Texas

We started out this morning with a white, bright, snowy, snow day.

Our first attempt at a snow sled down our steep drive way...well...

wasn't so much of a sledding experience.

But we got smart and had a blast.

Blakelynne also experienced her very first snow.

She wasn't so sure as Jacee-Kay was.

She looked out the door curiously, tipping her head with confusion with the new white world she had never seen.

Daddy gives Blakelynne Chocolate.

A chocolate minty cookie for Miss Blakelynne.
Those Girl Scouts have good tastes.
So Does Dad.
Here's what the damage looked like:
