A Day in Grammy's 'Yarden'

Gorgeous weather on a January day; when those good weather days are few and far between.

Blakelynne and Daddy say Cheers!

Daddy drinking coffee this morning with sweet baby girl blakelynne drinking her sippy cup. Cheers they did over and over and over and over again.

A Love Bug Kinda Day

My love bugs wearing their love bug outfits. =]
I know. I'm a nerd. If it says love bug, I cannot resist it.
My friend Hannah even bought me a love bug cup.
Probably my favorite gift.
Ahh the Love Bugs:

Blakelynne's outfit was made esspecially for her.
If she could talk she would most assuredly say:
Thank you Aunt Lauren for making my Baby Love Bug Onesie. I love it!

Baby Beeber's Vocabulary

Second Update on Baby B's Vocab:
She can say-
Da Da = Daddy
DaDuu = Thank you
ees (while pointing) = This
Uh-Oh = yes...uh oh.
No...she does not say mommy yet.
I am hopeful it's the next word.
But to be honest, Jacee-Kay is secretly working with her on saying Jacee....
So Jacee-Kay may just beat me to the punch.
Just today I heard a Jaaa come out of Blakelynne's mouth.
Yes. Really.

A sweet poem.

Ok. I cried:

A newborns conversation with God:

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

God said, "You will simply call her, "Mom."

A Rainy Day Outside My Kitchen...

Can we PLEASE go outside and play?
Unfortunately it was just storming too bad out there.
So I had alot of help in my kitchen...

I can see someone out there playing mom!! Please let us go!!

I love to watch Jacee-Kay as a big sister.
She loves to help me so much. I am so lucky to have such a great five year old.
Here she is holding Blakelynne, and at least attempting to get a smile outta her.
I also love the belly rolls that Blakelynne has. Cutest. Thing. Ever.
I am picturing Blakelynne explaining
to Jacee-Kay why they should go ahead
and make a break for the playground,
because mommy isn't looking right now.
Little does she know...I am the see all to everything.

Boredom.
Or at least until we watched Rainbow Brite for the second time.
She loves Rainbow Brite. I can't blame her. It's a really great movie.

A Sticky Situation.

Stickers are fun. Just ask Blakelynne and Jacee-Kay.

Mom, it's ok we're just playing....
Ok, and eating a few stickers.
Don't worry, here's the culprit.
I imagine Blakelynne to say "Add some fun to Friday night with stickers".
BTW, Mom, The flash is too bright on the camera.
So, I test the flash on the camera, and have come
to the conclusion that, the flash on the camera really is too bright...

Oh, well!! These pictures were worth it!

Things I thought I'd NEVER say!

1. If so and so jumped off a bridge, would you?

2. How do you know you don't like it if you don't at least try it?

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

4. Beds are not made for jumping.

5. See, you found "insert missing toy here" because you cleaned your room.

6. Because I said so.

7. I will tell you when you are older. I promise.

Two Down One to Go!

Yesterday I officially finished my math minimester!

I now officially have two associates degrees.

Say Whaaaaa?!

Now time to start working on my bach degree!

Although, I'm a firm believer that two associates degrees should equal one bachelor degree...

2=1 Right?

Okay. I didn't say I was a math whiz...I just said I made it through my math minimester! ;)

Andee Lew Clothing.

These shirts are simple. Basic. In every color, and made out of the softest material. 0-5 years.

Andee Lew Clothing is bringing simplicity into the lives of young mothers with their newest product release featuring fashionable and affordable, basic tee-shirts and bodysuits for little girls. (Little Boys clothing to soon be coming this Fall!)
I am also a huge fan of how they size their clothing. Instead of 12 months it is 1T, and so forth. Which makes perfect sense to me. =]
You must buy them to really test them out!
I fell in love with them after seeing them on http://www.babysteals.com/.
Sister website to http://www.kidsteals.com/.
I think I bought each shirt for as little as $3.00 each at one point in time.
It's not a deal, mom, it's a steal!! =]

Bath Time......

Our Angel

BabyLegs

Love This Shirt.

And This Kid.

Socks

I bought socks for goody-bags for Jacee-Kay's birthday party. We had a bouncey, and just thought having extra socks would be nice for the kiddos.
Spencer (My friend Jamie's sweet son who is four) pulled them out as they were leaving and scrunched his eyes studying the socks really hard. "Socks???!!" He cried, "in a birthday bag?!!"
Embarrasingly, I then at that moment thought to myself, 'Yikes....Socks in a birthday bag. He's right....' I guess I totally spaced on that one. Lol. So cute though, how confused most of them were to pull out socks from their goody bags.

Oh how extremely cute are these children in my life!!!

Venn Diagrams

The below is an example of a Venn Diagram.

This would be completely useless information, on an ordinary day.

However, my homework revolves around a few of these. (X10 harder btw).

So, these little babies are now useful, at least until the end of next week when my class is over.

The idea is to shade the area the questions are asking you.

When we were first learning these Venn Diagrams,

My math/homeowork quizes looked alot like the one:

Jacee-Kay was so cute in the fact that she is so jealous of me that I get to color in circles all day long. She asked me if this is what I get to when I go to school.
My response was, well....yes this is what mommy has to do at school, almost everyday.

She was upset and pouty that I get to color in cirlces all day long. How unfair she thinks this is.

I would gladly trade places with her in a heartbeat.
She is afterall, smarter than I anyway.
She could probably do better in this math course than I am. ;)
She'd for sure be better at coloring and staying in the lines.
:]

A Birthday fit for a Princess

This year my daughter has turned five years old. Or maybe I should say last year my daughter turned five. Her birthday is December 31st. This year January 1, 2011 fell on a Saturday, and in my past years of birthday experience, confusion sets in for the little ones that their birthday is one day and their party is another. It has always been my practice to have the actual birthday party as close to the actual birthday day as possible. This way it is more special to the birthday girl/boy.

I am also a firm believer that you cannot go overboard on birthday presents or birthday parties. You will only get a few short lived years on throwing birthday parties, and there is no too big or too small you can go!

I have gotten so tired, however, of all the birthday party venues in town charging an arm and a leg just for a place to throw a birthday party for a five year old. Besides, I wanted mroe of an intimate experience anyway. A Backyard bbq with the family and friends, and maybe letting Jacee-Kay dress up in her princess clothes. So that was exactly what we did. We threw a girly dress up themed party. I made arts and crafts for decorations, and spent litterally nothing on them. And Doug made hot dogs and hamburgers, while Lisa, (better known as Grammy these days) brought over some special side dishes for the guests to munch on. Thank goodness for her and Grampy doing that!

I did however, make my special Black-eyed pea dip for goodluck, being that it is the New Year and all.

My friend Alex and I also made Jacee-Kay's cake. The cake itself was the from the box, but the icing was homemade. It was also the very first cake I made myself for Jacee-Kay's birthday party. It may not look like a bakery prepared the cake, but the love that went into it I'm sure means more...right?! Just say yes.

A Candy Flower.

A lovely tissue pom-pom.

This was fun to make, directions below! Super Easy and Super cheap.

All you need is tissue paper, scissors, maybe some glue. I used pearls to strand this from the ceiling to the tissue flower.

I spent two dollars on the tissue paper, and found all the other stuff in a dress up box in Jacee-Kay's closet.

These look alot better than mine, but hey, I'm a begginner!
Check them out!

The Birthday Party today,

really couldn't have gone any better.
Here's what happened:

Oh my goodness, how could you not just love this crooked little smile.
Wow.
A love bug indeed.
