MOOOOM-It's time for new shoes....

These bad boys are an example of how hard Jacee-Kay is on shoes. She has owned these shoes beginning June 1, 2011. It is now the end of July. Two months...

(=

Shoes....

Two Weddings and a New Car....

We spent the Saturday as any other in July...with the exception of Scott and Lisa (Doug's parents) renewing their vows. Very moving and wonderful ceremony. The other exception was getting to go to a wedding where Jacee-Kay had more friends than I did. (=
And BUYING a new car!! More details will follow on the car later! I will say it's super cute and super perfect!

Is this not the cutest thing or what! jacee and brayden.
I looooove this picture!!

There is something precious about little loves all dressed up making the silliest face that they can muster. Something to smile about.

I suppose you could say that this is Jacee-Kay and her "date" Garrison. (:

These two were so cute coming down the aisle!

Grant however was a little fast paced walking down the aisle.

A man on a mission to get where he's going.

Garrison was the perfect gentleman in escoring his flower girl component!

THE Sunglasses were a hit...

Blakelynne didn't get to go to the wedding, and we missed our little lady while we were gone. I imagined her to be fast asleep at Auntie Lou and Uncle Zach's house! =)

She is a pillow love!!

Jacee-Kay Graduates Pre-K

There is something to be said about the definition of a cupcake in our house.
It must mean there's a party around the corner...
esspecially if I use the special cupcake wrappers.
(Little does anyone know I pick these up at T.J. Maxx for five dollars...yes seriously)

Of course, I have only once attempted homemade cupcakes...they turned out okay, but the cake mix in a box is just as good I think, and so much faster.

So making cupcakes is more or less about the presentation for us, more importantly Miss Jacee-Kay.
Oh, and how excited is she to bring a snack for friends to school!?

Of course, I made these for Jacee-Kay's graduation, however Ms. Blakelynne kept stealing bites off the buffet table when the adults had their backs turned.
I have my hands full! ;)

I know these pictures didn't turn out that great...wrong setting!! dadgummit! But she still looks just as gorgeous I think.

And of course, her cupcakes madame:

I loved the stars hanging from the ceiling just before you walked into the classroom before the ceremony. It just seemed school housey to me.

I wanted to get a picture of Jacee-Kay before the ceremony began, but I walked to the back to check up on her to only see that her hair was in a disaray, and her face had dirt smudges. Typical for her. She LOVES playing outside with her friends, of course I had to laugh and help her clean up just a little bit. Needless to say, I was so worried about her looking clean, that I forgot the real reason I went back there in the first place: just one picture. That's ok though, because I will always have the picture in my mind though of my little playful, smudgy, five year old sweetie.

I would also like to point out that Jacee-Kay had some helpful instructions on what she wanted to wear for school this morning, and how she wanted to fix her hair...I gave in on the hair...but I don't know how I'm gonna make it through the teenage years, if this is just a small glimpse of the future...

I just cannot speak enough about how grateful I am that Jacee-Kay found some great friends at Peas in a Pod. We are so blessed for her classmates...

Esspecially this handsome five year old, Brayden:

Yay!! And Maw Maw and Paw Paw got to come!

Jacee-Kay was so excited to see them! And so was I!!=]

And just look at all the wonderful friends and family who sent her gifts.

I've never heard of a more special day!!

Definately the most exciting day for Miss Jacee.

She got more flowers in one day, than I believe I've ever gotten in my life!! =]

Ok, our one picture... We need more pictures right?!

See, told ya, this girl had more presents than she knew what to do with! She is so grateful though and made space for each and everyone! =]

And one of my favorites, Jacee-kay and her Grammy! I love this!

Grammy got Jacee-Kay the sweetest book ever. It's called the Kissing Hand, and it is just precious. I love this book. Thank you Grammy!!

Brush Blakey Brush!

Well...all I can say is THANNK GOODNESS at least one of my children enjoys brushing their teeth! =]

I noticed after taking these pictures how messy the girls bathroom actually is...no judging. =]

But of course we have to sing the brush your teeth song everyday....

"Brush em Brush Em Brush em...get those teefies brush-ED"

It works at least 50% of the time guaranteed!! =]

The Story of the Quilt

I own a beautiful quilt. My children love to fight over many items, but this is one of their favorites to argue about. If one has it, then the other one wants it, and vice versa. It is afterall the perfect quilt for the summer, winter, fall, and spring. You can find yourself curled up with a book and this quilt, or maybe a movie. It never fails to keep you warm and cozy, or if you'd prefer you could stick one leg out and not get too warm and cozy.

Fond memories surround this handmade quilt. Many of movie times, of snack times, of baby dolls, of barbie dolls, wet baby hineys fresh from the bath, have laid upon this quilt. This quilt has seen alot of laughter, tears, heartaches, brand new starts, sorrow, joy, and life.

It is the one item in my household that I would like to say has REALLY been 'built to last'.

My favorite coach from High School, who I hold alot of affection towards, is responsible for this wonderful quilt. Her mother made this and gave this this quilt to me as a gift when I visited her, back when I was but 17 or 18 years old.

It is probably the most thoughtful gift anyone has ever given to me, and I have always cherished this quilt. I just love all the memories I get to take in whenever I wrap this quilt around myself or around one of my children. It reminds me of family, and is definately considered a family heirloom in my home.

Thank you to both Mama Clark's for this wonderful family treasure!! =]

My kiddos may fight over this wonderful treasure, however from time to time, I must admit that I am fighting over it too...you better make mama happy right?!!
(who am I kidding, I'm still not the boss?!!)

Last New Years Eve

New Years Eve.

Ok. I know. seven months ago.
These are some more wonderful pictures that Leah captured.

She's so great. =] anyway, I can't get over them. I loved looking back on these pictures and remembering all the excitement of the evening. It was definately a favorite thus far. I think the pictures truly do speak for themselves.....what do you think?
