My Top Ten Baby 'Must HAVES'

Must Have Off Brand "Mylicon" Drops

...or better yet gas drops. A gassy baby is not a happy baby. But these gas drops are gentle enough to put a drop or two in baby's bottle for EVERY feeding. And at half the price, the target brand beats the name brand anyday.

Must Have 'Liquid Baby Powder'

Who likes the way that baby powder explodes when you powder a baby's behind? Gets all over your clothes, your hair, your hands, and just sticks on you. In fact, the dust particles can even be harmful to a baby. (well at least that's what I have heard) I have found the Angel of Mine Baby Powder in liquid form at the Dollar Tree. Yes. Dollar Tree. For only a dollar and lasting probably most of a child's infancy, this liquid baby powder keeps baby from feeling chapped in their diaper. Less chappiness, less diaper rash, happier baby. Oh the simple pleasures.

Must Have 'Glow Worm Seahorse'

A musical seahorse who's belly lights up when you touch him. Blakelynne loves this little guy. She could spend hours laying in her crib and looking at this glow worm. It's amazing to her. She would cry as a newborn, and we would stick this somewhere close to her and press his belly. Her little cries were gone, taking a turn to sleepyville. Oh Oh It's magic, you know...

Must Have 'Nylon' headbands

Those little soft spots on those babies heads are so fragile. And not to mention, some head bands are little brain squeezers, and some press so hard against the skin, that comfort is obviously not in the hands of those makers. With these soft nylon headbands comfort IS THE KEY. Made out of the material our pantyhose are, brings the term 'barely there' to a whole new light. Also, with these little nylon suckers you can add just about any alligator clip to perfect those already perfect outfits. What mom wouldn't love these?

Must Have 'T-Gel'

Ok, you may be thinking...why and how? Well you know how those sweet little heads have 'baby dandruff' or better known as cradle cap? shampooing your babies head with this stuff (just a dab) will help them get rid of it faster! You really only need to do it about two or three times a week though. I usually bath Blake, and then get her all wrapped up in a towel, out of the bath, and run her head through a facet with warm water and scrub this stuff in with a baby brush. That way I can keep her eyes out of it, and don't get any in her bath water. It has a wierd smell, but it does go away within an hour. Who really cares right? I mean you are just about to slather and later that sweet thing with Johnson and Johnson Baby Lotion anyways! So, the smell isn't really that bad. And cradle cap no more!

Must Have 'Dr. Brown's'

Both my baby's loved Dr. Brown bottles. They are everywhere now. They are known for their suave way of helping baby's avoid collic, and it is proven that your baby will have less gassiness in their whittle tummies. You can purchase these anywhere and everwhere pretty much. They also come with nipples that have different levels, ideal for when baby starts to eat faster and more aggressive. (Also ideal for the night time formula. Level 2 fits perfectly!!) I give these bottles a big ole aggie whoop!

Must Have 'Motion Monitor'

This is not the exact Monitor that I have but it is VERY close. I wasn't so sure about these at first. How can any device pick up a tiny baby's breathing pattern? Does this really work? Well, the answer is it can and it does. With, Jacee-Kay I woke up every couple of hours to feel her chest or back and make sure she was still breathing. With Blakelynne, I can get good sleep without having to worry about this. I know that if she stops breathing, then an alarm will sound and the WHOLE house will wake up! I can get better sleep instead of that worried sleep that I got with Jacee-Kay as an infant. I think this is the best thing every invented. It is pricey, but if you can choose to get any kind of monitor, this is the one to buy! Peace of mind makes this product a must have.

Must Have Playtex 'Pacifier'

These paci's are the best. The silicon nipple shapes to the baby's mouth perfectly. Or at least my baby's sweet little rose petal lips. We definately prefer these pacifiers over any other we have tried. We call them the 'good' pacifiers, and in fact, as strange as it sounds, Jacee-Kay is the one who picked these out for Blakelynne. =]

Must Have Baby 'Bouncer'

This picture should explain itself. This seat vibrates, sings songs, plays music and makes fishy, bubbly noises. Not to mention the bright colors grab baby's attention. I could not take showers, put on makeup, or cook dinner without this seat. I love getting up in the morning to put on make up, with my sweet little baby being the only other one awake with me. She sits in her seat on the counter and keeps me company. Now she is rolling over she has to sit in her seat on the floor. But it's nice to look over at my little love bug smiling at me as I'm getting ready for the day. This seat is a definate must have in my opinion!!

Must Have Enfamil 'Restful'

A new enfamil formula product that is thicker than formula and breastmilk, but not as thick as rice cereal (so you're not afraid your baby will not hold it down and choke while spitting it up). This product is WONDERFUL! Blakelynne sleeps through most nights from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. What mom doesn't need the extra sleep? Just a little bit of this goes a long way and really helps fill the little ones tummy long enough to get that extra couple hours of rest. We give this FOUR thumbs up. Although, you can only find it at Walgreens down here in College Station. The Walgreens trip is worth the full belly, peaceful, sleep your baby will have. =)
